Karan Johar’s film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, full of college romance, is one of those iconic films of Bollywood, which is still loved by the audience. Released in the year 1998, Shahrukh, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee starrer proved to be a blockbuster at the box office. Along with love and friendship, a fun twist of college life has also been added in the film, which was liked by the audience. Along with this, this film also set a new trend in terms of fashion, which people follow till date.
In the 90’s there was a lot of trend of ‘Friendship Band’. In this film, Shahrukh was seen in the role of college dude ‘Rahul’, who gives ‘friendship bands’ to every beautiful girl in the college. This type of ‘friendship band’ was seen for the first time in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Apart from this, the ‘hairband’ of Anjali (Kajol) was also very popular in the film, which girls follow till date. Kajol used this hairband in half of the film, which later became a fashion trend, but the story behind this ‘hairband’ of Kajol is very interesting.
Kajol played a bubbly character of a girl named Anjali in this film, whose dressing sense was unique in itself. In the first half of the film, this same Anjali is seen in this ‘Tom Boy’ character. To look fit in this ‘Tom Boy’ character, Kajol used a ‘wig’. The real story of ‘hairband’ is hidden behind this ‘wig’ of Kajol.
Actually, last weekend Kajol and Karan Johar reached Colors TV’s ‘The Big Picture’ show, which is hosted by Ranveer Singh. During this, Karan Johar shared a funny anecdote related to Kajol’s ‘hairband’ in ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.
During this, Karan Johar told that, ‘Anjali of the film actually did not wear ‘hairband’, but Kajol had a problem with her ‘wig’, due to which the hair repeatedly came towards her face. Kajol used ‘hairband’ in the film to fix the ‘wig’. Accidental hairband experiment of ours actually went ahead and became a ‘fashion trend’.
Kajol, Karan and Ranveer were seen having a lot of fun in ‘The Big Picture’ show of Colors TV, as it was also the last episode of the show. During this, Kajol and Karan were also seen recreating scenes from their popular films. Ranveer Singh also danced with Kajol and Karan on ‘Bole Chudiyan’ and ‘Yeh Ladki Hai Deewani’.
