Films like ‘Dasvin’, ‘Mimi’, ‘Angrezi Medium’, ‘Bala’, ‘Luka Chuppi’, ‘Stree’, ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Cocktail’ and ‘Agent Vinod’ are witnesses to this. Dinesh has appeared once with a different story. Her web series ‘Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo’ is being streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar. The story of this web series directed by Homi Adajania is based on the bloody game of drugs smuggling, homosexuality and supremacy. Dimple Kapadia’s character Savitri Devi is at the center of the story of ‘Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo’. People in her area call Savitri as Rani Baa. Rani is the uncrowned king of the world of drugs in ‘Golden Ring’ (North India). She trades drugs with her daughter, daughter-in-law and women of the village. To say that she does the business of herbs and handicrafts, but she spies cocaine under its guise. His business has spread from Mumbai to Japan and America. There is a lot of demand for his goods in foreign countries. But in the meantime, the son of a leader of Maharashtra dies due to drug overdose. When the Narcotics team of Mumbai arrests and interrogates drug smugglers, it is learned that drugs are supplied from the Rann area. The Narcotics team feels that the consignment of these drugs is being sourced from Pakistan or Afghanistan.
After this, an officer of Narcotics comes to Rajasthan. There Loker gets involved in the investigation of this matter with the help of the police. On the other hand, her sons Harish (Ashish Verma) and Kapil (Varun Mitra), unaware of their mother’s dark deeds, come to their home. Before their arrival, King Monk (Deepak Dobriyal) of ‘Silver Ring’ (North East) organizes a deadly attack on Savitri’s house, but the mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and daughter together kill all those goodies. Amazing action of all the four characters is seen here. One day after coming home, Savitri’s sons come to know about her reality. They are stunned to see the drug factory. Not only this, he is surprised to know that the drugs he consumes in America are from his mother’s factory only. All-round trouble arises in front of Savitri. On one side the police, on the other side a dangerous enemy like Monka, on the third side his sons come to know about his reality. To know what Sabitri will do in such a situation, one has to watch this web series.
Except for the first episode of this web series with eight episodes of 60-60 minutes, all the rest are very interesting and exciting. The pace of the first episode is very slow. Boredom starts to set in, but with a little patience, as soon as you move forward, you will start enjoying it. This web series has been made on a large scale. Its shooting has also been done very beautifully from North to North East. Linesh Desai’s cinematography has captured each and every scene very minutely in his camera. Editor A Sreekar Prasad has done late but proper editing, which keeps the series entertaining. In the case of music, the matter is worse. Sachin-Jigar needed to work harder. Homi Adajania’s direction also has to be appreciated. He has crafted every character neatly. Overall, ‘Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo’ is a web series worth watching.
