When stepped into Bollywood without any support, today is a superstar, very interesting Bollywood Journey of Manoj Bajpayee

Narrator Asaram, who is serving a life sentence for sexually assaulting a minor, and the Sant Shri Asaramji Ashram Charitable Trust have sent a legal notice to the makers of the film “Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai”, alleging that the trailer of the film was “too objectionable and defamatory”.

Let us tell you that this film starring Manoj Bajpayee depicts the story of a lawyer who stands against the influential self-styled godman accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl. The trailer of the film was released on 8 May.

Asaram has been serving life sentence at Jodhpur Central Prison since 2018 after being convicted in a case of sexual exploitation of a minor girl student of his ‘gurukul’. Confirming that he had received the notice, filmmaker Aasif Sheikh said late Tuesday night that the film is based on the life of the victim’s lawyer, PC Solanki.

Shaikh said in a statement, “Sant Shree Asaramji Ashram Charitable Trust has given a notice to filmmaker Aasif Sheikh Banner Practical Productions for Manoj Bajpayee starrer ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai’. The film is a ‘courtroom drama’ inspired by true events.

My team of legal experts will reply to the legal notice. We have got the rights to make a film based on the life of PC Solanki and this film is based on his life. The legal notice has been sent by advocates Satya Prakash Sharma and Vipul Singhvi on behalf of Asaram and the trust.

Let us tell you that in this notice, a demand has been made for ‘directive and injunction against the release and promotion’ of this Hindi film. Singhvi said that the filmmakers have been given three days to respond.
