YouTube Star Bhuvan Bam has launched legal proceedings against a misleading video circulating online, falsely depicting him endorsing an investment scheme related to tennis predictions.
Bam, widely known for his comedic content and influential online presence, recently alerted his followers to a deceptive video that has been gaining traction on social media platforms. The video utilizes deepfake technology to falsely portray Bam endorsing tennis predictions allegedly provided by a specific bookmaker, encouraging viewers to invest based on these fabricated recommendations.
Expressing dismay over the misuse of his identity, Bhuvan Bam issued a public statement cautioning his fans against the fraudulent video: “It has come to my attention that there’s a deepfake video circulating online, falsely attributing investment advice to me regarding tennis predictions. This video is completely fabricated and misleading.”
In response to the fraudulent video, Bam’s management swiftly took action by filing a formal complaint at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai. The complaint outlines the deceptive nature of the video and seeks legal intervention to address the issue promptly. Authorities are currently investigating the origins of the misleading content and its dissemination across various online platforms.
Highlighting the importance of online vigilance, Bhuvan Bam urged his followers to exercise caution and avoid falling victim to such fraudulent schemes: “I urge all my followers to be cautious and refrain from making any financial decisions based on misleading information circulated in my name.”
