After the release of the teaser of ‘Adipurush’, the makers of the film, who have been facing constant opposition, have started creating an atmosphere in their favor. Recently, the film’s producer Bhushan Kumar and director Om Raut were seen in the shelter of Yogi Adityanath and Swami Avdheshanand Giri. Now it is being told that the film will be screened at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, which is a big achievement.
Most of the production houses of Bollywood are currently refraining from investing money in new projects. Everyone knows that irrespective of the film or the star, the fate of Bollywood films is getting worse after going to the box office. There are very few films which have been able to recover their cost in this era of Bollywood Boycott. Even in such a situation, T-Series, a big production house of the Hindi film industry, has put Rs 500 crore at stake on the film ‘Adipurush’. But the signs are not looking good for producer Bhushan Kumar, who has trusted ‘Bahubali’ fame actor Prabhas and ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ fame director Om Raut. Because by accusing the film of hurting religious sentiments, it is being said to boycott it. In such a situation, the makers of the film are leaving no stone unturned to create an atmosphere in its favor.
Film’s producer Bhushan Kumar and director Om Raut are constantly meeting influential people. Recently, both were seen in the shelter of UP CM Yogi Adityanath and religious guru Swami Avdheshanand Giri. Now it is being told that the film will be shown at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, which is considered to be a big achievement. It is believed that this achievement achieved even before its release in India will launch the film at the global level. The film will have its world premiere on June 13, 2023, at the prestigious Tribeca Festival in New York. In this way, Indian cinema will get a prestigious global platform through the film, which will definitely be a big achievement for Om Raut, Bhushan Kumar and Prabhas as well. In the midst of such a negative atmosphere towards the film, it can be seen as positive news.
The Tribeca Festival was started by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatcoff after the 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. The festival brings together stories, artists and audiences from across the spectrum including Film, TV, Music, Audio Storytelling, Games and XR. It is organized every year from 7 to 18 June in New York City. This year the Tribeca Festival will celebrate its 22nd anniversary. In such a situation, the performance of an Indian film here is definitely going to give a chance to be proud of Indian cinema. Prior to this, SS Rajamouli’s film ‘RRR’ had increased the value of India by going to many international forums including Oscar Award and Golden Globe Award. This can be said to be the beginning of such an opportunity. The film is releasing pan India on 16th June.
On this achievement of ‘Adipurush’, the director of the film Om Raut says, “It is not a film but a feeling. In my point of view, its story is related to the sentiments of the people of India. When I came to know that Adipurush has been selected by the jury of Tribeca, one of the world’s most prestigious film festivals, I got emotional. Because it has always been my wish to reach there. This premiere at Tribeca Festival is really special for me and the whole team. We have got the opportunity to showcase a story that is deeply ingrained in our culture on a global scale. We are thrilled and excited to see the audience response to its world premiere.” Bhushan Kumar said, “It is indeed a proud moment for all of us to take Indian cinema to the global stage. Will be mesmerized after seeing this.
The film’s lead act Prabhas said, “I am honored to have the world premiere of Adipurush at Tribeca Festival in New York. I am fortunate to be a part of this project that showcases the culture of our country. Getting on stage makes me extremely proud not only as an actor but also as an Indian. Tribeca is one of the most respected stages in the world. I look forward to seeing the audience reaction at Tribeca.” Inspired by the Hindu epic Ramayana, Prabhas plays the character of Shri Ram in this film. Along with this, Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has played the role of Sita Mata, Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, Sunny Singh as Laxman and Devdutt Nage as Hanumanji. Prabhas and Om Raut’s career is going to be affected to a great extent by the success and failure of this mega budget film.
